If I were a sexy vampire, I think I would have the Sony Ericsson W980i as my mobile phone. Is it a suave flip handset that comes in a midnight black with seductive red trimmings. Very chic. There is an OLED display on the front that displays important info and track details, and dedicated music controls for operating the music player and radio.
The keypad inside is simple and circular, similar to other Walkman handsets in this series. While some people will not like this look, it matches the overlapping circle controls on the front of the phone and does provide you with heaps of space between the buttons so erroneous typing is not a problem. Not that a vampire would make a typo anyway.
Walkman branded mobiles stand for great music capabilities, and the W980i is no exception. Sound quality is excellent, and you can alter the equaliser settings to make your music sound just the way you like it. With the W980i, Sony Ericsson have included something they call the Clear Audio experience. A mixture of pre-existing Sony audio software, this change from previous Walkman phones does make a world of difference.
The Sony Ericsson W980i comes with stereo speakers inbuilt, and a Sony stereo headset is included in the box. An in-built FM transmitter allows you to share your music on most FM radios, which is great whilst driving.
Even more incredible than an in-built FM transmitter (a great feature that you don't find on many phones, or music players for that matter), the W980i comes with a whopping 8GB of internal storage for keeping music and other data.
