The Nokia N9 is Nokia’s first real dip into the touchscreen smartphone market. It runs the new MeeGo operating system – a platform designed to ease confusion and ensure operating this smartphone is clear-cut and without the unnecessary extras.
In terms of look and feel, Nokia has done what they do best: the Nokia N9 has a smooth, smart and simple exterior. The phone comes in black, cyan or magenta and the outer surface is supposedly mark-free because the colours are stained all the way through. The 3.9 inch Super AMOLED display features the renowned Gorilla Glass, the same stuff used on the iPhone 4. The polycarbonate unibody may feel plasticy to some, but it feels comfortable and incorporates the front Gorilla glass impeccably. All buttons on this smartphone are virtual, apart from the volume and lock control on the side of the handset.
